KA International School’s Early Summer School offers students an exciting opportunity to explore new interests, build friendships, and learn through engaging hands-on activities in a supportive international environment.

Students will join age-appropriate classes across arts, STEM, sports, cooking, robotics, geography, manga drawing, roleplay, mindfulness, and more — all led by experienced KAIS teachers.

Whether your child already attends an international school or is experiencing one for the first time, the program is designed to encourage confidence, communication, creativity, and collaboration.

Who Can Join?

KAIS Students

Current KAIS students are welcome to join and continue learning in a familiar international environment while enjoying special summer activities with friends.

Non-KAIS Students

Students from outside KAIS are also welcome. This is a great opportunity to experience an international school environment and build confidence using English in real-life situations.

Non-KAIS students are welcome. Students will be placed into age-appropriate groups and activities.

Board Games

In this fun and engaging class, students play a variety of board and card games that support turn-taking, cooperation, and problem-solving. Through guided play, students learn to follow rules, think strategically, communicate with peers, and handle both winning and losing in a positive way.

Maps & Geography Fun

Kids will explore maps and geography through games and fun activities. This hands-on class will help students learn how to read maps and understand directions while traveling. They will also practice using simple map skills to find places and plan routes.

Summer STEM

In this practical class, aspiring scientists can come and enjoy hands-on challenges that explore various aspects of science, engineering and maths.

Mindful Crafts

Slow down and create with care. In this peaceful and engaging class, students will practice mindfulness while making a variety of calming, hands-on crafts. It’s a wonderful way to build focus, express creativity, and enjoy a sense of calm through art.

Art & Play

Make art inspired by play! In this play-based art camp, students will use artistic expression with a focus on the creative process, exploring paint, clay, paper crafts, and a variety of art techniques.

Jump Rope Challenge

Have you ever tried skipping rope? How many times can you jump in a row? In this class, you will learn how to jump rope and practice different jumping techniques. We will also play fun skipping games to help you build your skills and confidence.

Chess

Think ahead, plan your moves, and play to win! In this chess class, students will learn to solve fun chess puzzles and practice strategies in friendly, tournament-style games. All levels are welcome, from curious beginners to budding champions!

Zines

Do you have a lot of interesting ideas you want to share with friends? Zines (pronounced ‘zeens’, like magazines), is a place where you can express yourself in a fun way using collages, colors, pictures, and more! Let’s get creative!

Bouldering

Build physical and mental strength through bouldering and climbing. In this class, you will challenge yourself while developing balance, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Living Dioramas

Watch your garden grow – one sprout at a time! In this hands-on class, students will plant and care for broccoli sprout seeds while creating a miniature diorama of their own home. The growing sprouts become the lawn, blending art and nature in a unique summer project.

Japanese Calligraphy

Shodo is a traditional Japanese art of writing characters with a brush and ink. Students will learn proper posture and basic brush techniques while developing focus and creativity. In this class, they will practice basic strokes and try writing their names and simple kanji characters. They will also create a one-of-a-kind hanging scroll to take home!

Historical Roleplays: Rome

Join us as we step back in time 2000 years. Learn what it took to wield power in ancient Rome and compete in elections to climb step by step to the highest office in the Roman Empire!

Manga Drawing

Love anime and manga? In this creative drawing class, students will learn techniques to bring their favorite characters to life on paper. From facial expressions to dynamic poses, each session will build skills and confidence in manga-style illustration.

Mindful Crafts

Create with calm and care. This relaxing craft class invites students to explore different materials and techniques while practicing mindfulness. It’s a peaceful space to slow down, focus, and enjoy the creative process.

P.E. Games 

Get moving and have fun! In this high-energy class, students will play a variety of physical education games like table tennis, mini soccer, and more. With student choice at the center of the class, each session promises lots of action, laughter, and teamwork.

Cooking

In this hands-on cooking class, students will explore some easy and delicious winners from our KAIS cookbook while learning kitchen safety, basic cooking skills, and how to follow recipes.

Art

Bring your imagination to life! Students will be taught the basic skills of painting using acrylics and canvas to create a dynamic and visually interesting space scene.

Robotics

Students will explore the exciting world of robotics through hands-on building and testing of their own robots. Working in teams, they’ll tackle fun engineering challenges that develop problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration skills.

Do students need to be fluent in English?

Students do not need to be fluent in English, but they should feel comfortable in an all-English learning environment.

Is lunch included?

Students may bring lunch from home or order through a school-coordinated lunch delivery service. Further information will be provided after signing up.

Are fees refundable?

All fees for the course are non-refundable once registration is confirmed.

Can non-KAIS students join?

Yes. The program is open to both KAIS and non-KAIS students.
